Een Nederlandse topprestatie: twee keer op rij op de Italiaanse Vogue cover verschijnen.
De Nederlandse Rianne ten Haken staat opnieuw op de cover van de Vogue Italy. Uniek aan deze gebeurtenis is het feit dat zij vorige maand ook al op de cover stond van het modetijdschrift.
Het is niet de eerste keer dat Vogue dit doet. In 2007 heeft het Italiaanse tijdschrift een soortgelijke stunt uitgevoerd. Toen verscheen één van de twee modellen van de oktober cover op de november cover.
De 23-jarige Rianne ten Haken is al jaren een Nederlands topmodel. Haar carriére begon nadat ze in 2001 de Elite Model Look gewonnen had, ze was toen 15. Ze woont in New York en stond onder andere al eerder op de de cover van zowel de Duitse als de Italiaanse Vogue. In 2004 deed ze de shows van Versace en Fornarina en ze is momenteel het gezicht van Armani Exchange.
Eerder dit jaar zorgde een reclameuiting voor consternatie in New York Een steamy reclameposter voor Armani Exchange werd in Amerika verboden. De duidelijk zichtbare blote billen van model Parker Gregory zorgden voor de ophef. Op de voorgrond van de poster ligt de focus op het pittig decolleté van het Nederlandse model Rianne ten Haken. Deze combinatie is blijkbaar te gewaagd voor New York.
